課程概述 |
This course focuses on metaphor research in early Daoist philosophy. It consists of reading and discussion of secondary sources (four articles). Attention will be paid to methodology, research content, and strategies of argumentation. |
|
課程目標 |
By taking this course, students will
1. attain a better understanding of how metaphor research is valuable for philosphical interpretation;
2. gain deeper insight in Daoist philosophy;
3. learn to reflect on different strategies of argumentation |
|
課程要求 |
This course requires students to actively engage in presentation and discussion. While there is no term paper, students have to make two class presentations (two weeks, not two articles). On top, they have to write a 2-page critical discussion of every article. |
